Tình cờ tôi đọc được một bản tin nói về hủ tục cắt âm vật… trên internet viết bằng tiếng Anh: ‘At least 200 million girls and women alive today have undergone a form of female genial mutilation (FGM)’ thì lại bắt gặp ở bản tin tiếng Việt trên VNexpress khi nói về đề tài này lại dịch câu trên” ‘Khoảng 200 triệu phụ nữ và trẻ gái tại Ai Cập (?) từng trải qua thủ thuật cắt âm vật’.
